You will be responsible for detail work groundskeeping, common areas and restroom cleaning, building repairs, and water/septic system maintenance, helping to keep the community in top shape. You'll play a key role in pool operations and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. This hands-on role will keep you active and engaged.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the ground’s maintenance and landscaping of the property
- Responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all community buildings and equipment
- Providing support to residence as required, such as firewood delivery
- Maintaining the pool and spa facilities
- Responsible in managing and keeping records of the upkeep of the septic systems
- Responsible in maintaining all Health & Safety aspects of the Community and Community Buildings
- Ensuring ongoing communication with Manager
- Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment.
- Responsible for cleaning common areas
- Responsible for pond maintenance, including clearing algae
- Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times.
- Operate within the applicable Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company policies at all times.
- Be prepared to accept after hour calls and act on emergencies as required.
- Other duties as required
Education and Experience:
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Current water ticket or pool certificate preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must be willing to take water certification course at the beginning of employment.
- Must be willing to take the pool certification course at the beginning of employment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs infrequently; ability to work at heights
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills
