Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable & Payroll Assistant to support our finance and human resources teams. This role involves managing accounts payable processes and auditing payroll. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, proficiency with multiple accounting platforms, and a solid understanding of bookkeeping and account reconciliation procedures. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in accounting and contribute to the smooth operation of our financial functions.
Duties
- Process and verify accounts payable transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Workday.
- Manage payroll processing through systems like ADP, Kronos, Ceridian, UltiPro, or PeopleSoft, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Perform data entry for invoices, expense reports, and payroll records with high accuracy.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable statements to ensure consistency across financial records.
- Assist in preparing reports related to payroll, expenses, and account analysis for management review.
- Support human resources functions related to payroll administration within HRIS platforms like UltiPro or Ceridian.
- Maintain organized records of transactions, invoices, timesheets, and employee data for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies or issues related to payments or employee records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements regarding financial transactions.
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Workday, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with payroll systems including ADP, Kronos, Ceridian, UltiPro, or PeopleSoft.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes along with account reconciliation skills.
- Experience with bookkeeping, data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems relevant to payroll processing such as Payworks, UltiPro or Ceridian is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
- Prior experience in human resources functions related to payroll administration is a plus. This role is integral to supporting our team’s administrative needs through precise processing and record management.
