Responsibilities
- Assist customers in locating automotive parts and accessories, providing detailed product information and recommendations to meet their needs.
- Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, conducting regular stock checks, and updating records using inventory management systems such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Process sales transactions efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures.
- Support vehicle maintenance and automotive repair tasks by supplying parts, verifying compatibility, and ensuring timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain organized stockrooms and retail displays to optimize accessibility and presentation of parts.
- Communicate effectively with customers via phone or in person, offering expert advice on automotive diagnostics, service options, and maintenance tips.
- Collaborate with dealership or repair shop teams to facilitate seamless order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking inventory levels, sales data, and order processing metrics to support organizational efficiency.
- Uphold excellent customer service standards through clear communication skills, professional phone etiquette, and a friendly attitude.
- Assist in marketing efforts by promoting special offers or new product lines to enhance sales opportunities.
Experience
- At least 1 year experience in automotive parts sales is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and automotive repair processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory control effectively using tools like CMMS or similar software.
- Proven sales management skills combined with retail math proficiency to maximize sales performance.
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and retail sales operations is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with phone etiquette to provide outstanding customer service.

- Experience with Costar required.
- Battery testing experience required.
