We're Looking For:
--> A highly motivated, results-driven Renovation Sales Consultant for BuildABLE's residential renovations.
This is not a typical sales position. This is an opportunity to work in a role that can truly make a difference in people's lives. No, seriously.
Many of our clients live with physical disabilities, mobility challenges or life-altering injuries/illnesses, where home accessibility is critical in developing our renovation concepts. While accessibility knowledge is an asset, we are far more interested in finding someone with integrity who can build trust, understand our clients' goals, and help guide homeowners (and their families) through the renovation process.
JOB OVERVIEW:
This highly autonomous role involves engaging with clients to promote accessible, high-end renovation services. With professionalism and exceptional communication skills - you will:
- Respond promptly to new inquiries + phone consultations with prospective clients
- Schedule and attend in-home consultations in a timely manner
- Share guidance on ideas, and provide tangible renovation possibilities and solutions
- Take detailed measurements and comprehensive notes
- Provide rough budget guidance, preliminary project scopes and initial estimates
- Work closely with our estimating and design team to develop detailed project proposals - and close sales through your exceptional customer service
- Guide product and fixture selections with meticulous tracking of change-orders
- Maintain accurate CRM, lead tracking records & sales process notes
- Attend and assist with (fun!) community events to build relationships & promote the benefits of our renovations
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Required:
- Experience selling and/or estimating renovation or construction projects, or a strong understanding of residential construction.
- High motivation with rapid follow-up for lead inquiries
- Comfortable with screening potential clients and providing preliminary budgets
- Ability to take detailed measurements and document existing conditions
- Proficiency with basic technology, email, CRM systems, and mobile devices
- Be able to physically enter and move around inaccessible homes to assess various spaces for potential renovations
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Obtain & provide a police record check for working with vulnerable populations within 30 days of hire.
It's a bonus if you have:
- Experience with accessibility or aging-in-place renovations an asset (but we can train!)
- Kitchen and bath design experience
LOCATION:
Ottawa and surrounding areas. This is a remote position – start from your home and then on-site with potential clients. Access to meeting space at our facility as needed.
HOURS:
- This is a largely autonomous role.
- Monday – Friday + occasional evenings & weekends to meet with clients, or if attending any events in the community
COMPENSATION:
Base Salary: Based on experience & starting at $50,000+ plus a competitive bonus structure based on closed projects.
Expected First-Year Earnings: $90,000 - $130,000+
