Timbertrain Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee roaster and cafe committed to delivering an exceptional coffee experience. We are looking for cafe manager to join our team at our Port Moody location. The ideal candidate should have passion for all things coffee, excellent customer service skills, and strong ability to collaborate. We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on Cafe Manager to lead with confidence and uphold the standards that define Timbertrain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support baristas to deliver excellent customer service and product quality
- Assist with daily operations: inventory checks, prep, and opening/closing procedures
- Support baristas with ongoing training, feedback, and development
- Ensure all drinks, food, and retail offerings meet quality standards
- Communicate operational issues and opportunities for improvement to the manager
- Stay informed about Timbertrain's coffee lineup, including origin, flavour profiles, and brewing methods
- Follow health and safety standards, including food safety and hygiene protocols
- Monitor cafe performance and identify areas for improvement
- Maintain clear communication between the cafe, roastery, and management teams
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in supervising a small team in a cafe or hospitality environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Availability for a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Pay: $19.50-$20.00 per hour
