We are looking for a Weekend Veterinarian - shifts will be Saturday's or Sunday's.

Duties
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess health status and diagnose medical conditions using veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy.
- Perform medical procedures including animal restraint, animal catheterization, and aseptic techniques to ensure safe and effective treatment.
- Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments tailored to each patient’s needs, emphasizing animal care and pet grooming when appropriate.
- Assist with laboratory tests and interpret results to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Handle a variety of animals including dogs and cats, with skillful animal handling techniques, ensuring safety for both animals and staff.
- Educate pet owners on pet care, nutrition, behavior, and preventive health measures to promote responsible ownership.
- Support critical care situations by providing veterinary critical care experience during emergencies or intensive treatments.
- Maintain detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with veterinary standards and documentation protocols.
- Perform X-Rays and Diagnositcs.
- must be willing to work weekends. We are currently looking for a Saturday or Sunday Consistent Veterinarian.
Skills
- Proven veterinary experience with a strong foundation in animal husbandry, anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology.
Expertise in animal restraint techniques for safe examination and treatment procedures.
- Skilled in pet grooming, animal husbandry practices, and pet care essentials to enhance overall well-being.
- Experience with laboratory procedures and interpreting lab results to support diagnoses.
- Ability to perform animal catheterization and aseptic techniques accurately in clinical settings.
- Strong dog handling skills along with general animal handling proficiency across various species including equine patients.
- Excellent communication skills for educating pet owners effectively while demonstrating compassion and professionalism.

Pay: $90.00-$110.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 10.0 per week
