Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our busy and growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires familiarity with dental office procedures, dental codes, and multi-line phone systems to ensure smooth daily operations. The Dental Receptionist will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment and supporting the clinical team.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments with professionalism and courtesy
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Cleardent software
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and take messages accurately
- Verify patient insurance information
- Collect payments, co-pays, and outstanding balances at the front desk
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to promote a professional environment
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure patient flow runs smoothly throughout the day
- Monday 9-4, Tuesday 11-7, Wednesday 11-7, Thursday 9-4, Friday 9-3. No Weekends :)
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental office setting is highly preferred!
- Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Cleardent
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanor
- Proven ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
