Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Room Attendant to assist our client on a 3 month contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for all visitors.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Clean and service assigned guest suites and hospitality spaces according to client and Staff Shop standards
- Make beds, replace linens and towels, and replenish in-room amenities and supplies
- Vacuum carpets, dust furniture, sanitize high-touch surfaces, and maintain overall cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and common areas
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms including sinks, showers, bathtubs, mirrors, counters, and toilets
- Maintain organized housekeeping carts, cleaning supplies, and storage areas throughout shifts
- Track room status updates and communicate efficiently with supervisors or team leads regarding completed assignments and priorities
- Report maintenance concerns, damages, lost items, or safety hazards promptly to the appropriate contact
- Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and respect for guest privacy while working in occupied and vacant rooms
- Support a positive guest experience through attention to detail, cleanliness, and courteous interactions when required
- Work collaboratively with housekeeping teams, supervisors, and client representatives to ensure operational efficiency
- Follow all workplace health & safety procedures, including proper use of PPE, cleaning chemicals, and equipment
- Perform cleaning duties before, during, and after service periods as required
- Must be able to exert physical effort and perform repetitive movements throughout shifts including bending, kneeling, crouching, stretching, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Be able to stand and walk for extended periods while carrying linens, supplies, and equipment weighing up to 30 lbs, and assist with heavier items when required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times
- Be flexible for varying shifts/hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
- Be punctual, reliable, and committed to each assignment
- Previous housekeeping, hotel, hospitality, or cleaning experience considered an asset
- Experience working in fast-paced hospitality or service environments preferred
Schedule & Staffing Requirements
- Timeline: October 2026
- Approximately 40 hours per week
- Must be available for varying shifts between:
- Weekdays: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Weekends: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Compensation: $18.00/hour
Representing Staff Shop
- Demonstrate and speak to Company Mission, Vision, and Values, demonstrating company culture to other employees and clients; act as an ambassador for Staff Shop, representing the company well at all times
- Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic throughout assignments
