About the Role
Reporting to the Park Manager, the Park Attendant supports the safe operation, security, and appearance of Caravans West RV Resort during the operating season. This role focuses on nightly facility and aquatic area closures, along with routine watering of landscaped areas. This role requires independent work, reliability, and a strong focus on safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform nightly closing procedures for the pool and hot tub in accordance with posted rules, health authority guidance, and operating procedures.
· Ensure pool and hot tub areas are cleared of users at scheduled closing times.
· Secure gates, covers, doors, and access points for aquatic and shared facilities.
· Close and secure shared park facilities including clubhouses and other common areas as assigned.
· Conduct visual safety checks of aquatic and common areas and report hazards, incidents, or maintenance concerns.
· Water flower beds, planters, and landscaped areas according to seasonal needs and weather conditions.
· Maintain a professional and courteous presence with residents and guests.
· Perform other reasonable duties consistent with the position as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
· Valid Pool Operator Level 1 certification (or equivalent recognized in British Columbia) is required and must be maintained throughout employment
· Ability to work independently and responsibly
· Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a consistent seasonal schedule (May 1 to September 30)
· Strong awareness of safety, particularly around aquatic facilities
· Physically able to perform light outdoor work including walking, bending, lifting hoses, and handling covers or gates
· Previous experience in facility operations, groundskeeping, or hospitality is an asset but not required
· WHMIS, First Aid, or CPR certifications considered assets
Working Conditions
· Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
· Evening, weekend, and statutory holiday work is required
· Standing, walking, bending, and light lifting required
Employment Standards and Safety
This position is governed by the Employment Standards Act (British Columbia). Vacation pay, statutory holiday entitlements, and wages will be administered in accordance with legislation. The employee is required to follow all WorkSafeBC requirements and park safety procedures.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
