Electrical Automotive Technician – Country Hills Ford (Calgary)

As vehicle technology continues to evolve, we’re looking for an experienced Electrical Automotive Technician who is confident in diagnostics, wiring repair, and advanced electrical troubleshooting.
This is an opportunity to join one of the busiest Ford service operations in Canada and become a key part of a high-performing shop that values technical skill, efficiency, and problem-solving.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll focus primarily on electrical and drivability diagnostics while supporting the shop with advanced troubleshooting and repair work.

Diagnose and repair electrical, communication, and drivability concerns

Perform advanced troubleshooting on wiring, modules, CAN systems, sensors, and network-related issues

Use factory scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify root causes efficiently

Complete repairs accurately while maintaining detailed documentation

Work closely with advisors and dispatch to communicate findings and repair recommendations

Assist other technicians with difficult electrical or intermittent concerns

Support apprentices and help strengthen overall shop diagnostic capability

Stay current with evolving vehicle technology and manufacturer training
This is a hands-on technical role where strong diagnostic ability and attention to detail are critical.

What We’re Looking For
-
Licensed Automotive Service Technician preferred
-
Strong electrical and diagnostic background in a dealership or high-volume repair environment
-
Experience diagnosing CAN bus, wiring, module communication, and intermittent electrical issues
-
Ford diagnostic experience is a strong asset
-
Comfortable using factory scan tools, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic software
-
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
-
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support other technicians

Someone who takes pride in solving difficult problems the right way
