Job Overview
We are looking for a Sales Associate to join our team who is as excited about our company vision as we are. We are Kelowna's newest one-stop gift shop with a highly curated selection of products from Canadian-based companies (mostly from here in BC). We offer various art pieces, the comfiest shoes ever, and a large selection of food items. Essentially an assortment of our favourite things.
We are looking for a salesperson who can help us keep our reputation of top-notch customer service, something we take very seriously. We aren't looking for someone to be sales-pushy, but rather someone who is excited about our products; as no one likes to push sales or feel like they were pushed into buying.
We have a 32-foot kiosk in Orchard Park Mall, right in front of the Food Court, Lush, and Pandora. We operate seasonally from July-Dec, and have lots of room to grow in our company if we feel you are a great fit.
We will be opening July 7th - but we will be training you prior to that.
Responsibilities
- Give food samples to customers and explain uses/company info
- Engage with customers in a natural, friendly, manner
- Provide product information and demonstrate features to customers
- Process sales transactions accurately using the Square point of sale (POS) system
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Upsell products to customers based on their needs
- Perform opening + closing duties accurately
- Work well both solo and with others
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Proficiency in cashiering procedures and handling transactions
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and product displays
- Demonstrated ability to upsell and maximize sales opportunities
- We provide comfortable flooring and allow you to wear comfortable shoes - but you must be able to be on your feet for your entire shift

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
