Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality meal preparation. This role involves working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring that all food safety and handling standards are met while assisting in the preparation of delicious meals for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe food handling practices.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new skills in meal preparation.
