Liard Hot Springs Lodge is a central stop on the Alaska Highway between Fort Nelson, BC and Watson Lake, YK surrounded by incredible northern scenery and right across the highway is the second largest natural hot springs in Canada, at the provincial park.
About the Position
Liard Hot Springs Lodge is seeking an experienced Cook to prepare, present, store, and dispatch food for both the Dining Room and Take-Out services. This role leads the kitchen in a professional, positive, and learning-focused environment. The Cook will follow pre-set menu specifications, work within time limits, and ensure that all food preparation meets Lodge standards and complies with all health and safety regulations. Adherence to sanitary and safe food-handling practices is essential.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Mature, professional presentation with a strong work ethic, positive team attitude, and high level of motivation
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and short-order cooking
- Minimum 6 months of experience working in a similar remote or camp setting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact tactfully, sensitively, and professionally with managers and team members
- Ability to work under pressure with effective task-switching capabilities
- Highly flexible, with strong interpersonal skills suited to a diverse workplace
- Physically able to reach, bend, lift up to 40 lbs, and stand for long periods
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Successful completion of a criminal record check
- Required certifications: Food Safe, First Aid, WHMIS
- Due to the remote nature of our operations, Liard Hot Springs Lodge is a drug- and alcohol-free worksite. Employees must remain sober and fit for duty at all times during their scheduled shifts.
Working Conditions
- Must live and work on-site in a remote location with limited services
- Travel provided from Fort Nelson to Liard Hot Springs Lodge for a rotation of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. (Seasonal)
- Repetitive and physically demanding tasks
- Facility operates using a diesel generator, artesian well water system, and septic tank system
Pay: From $240.00 per day
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Northern Rockies, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
