We are seeking a hardworking Water Delivery Assistant to join our team for the summer season. Based out of 27 Enterprise Way, you will play a key role in supporting our HRM drivers to ensure our customers stay hydrated with premium water service.
This is a fast-paced, "get-it-done" role perfect for someone who enjoys manual labor and being out on the road rather than stuck behind a desk.
The Schedule
- Start Time: 6:30 AM
- Perks: Enjoy a long weekend every other week with every second Friday off.
- Duration: Full-time Summer position. * Longer if applicant is not returning to school.
What You’ll Do
- Some of the Heavy Lifting: Manually load, unload, and deliver 44 lb (18.9L) water jugs to residential and commercial customers. Use of trolly cart for easier transport.
- Tech & Billing: Use a company tablet or smartphone to manage delivery routes, process billings, and update customer records.
- Navigation: Assist drivers in navigating various routes throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) efficiently.
- Team Support: Act as a "right-hand" to our lead drivers, ensuring the truck is organized and safety protocols are followed.
- Customer Service: Provide a friendly face and helpful attitude during every drop-off.
What We’re Looking For
- Physical Stamina: You must be comfortably able to lift and carry 44 lb water jugs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using mobile apps, tablets, and GPS navigation.
- Motivation: A strong work ethic and a "willingness to learn" attitude.
- Reliability: Since the day starts at 6:30 AM, punctuality is a must.
- Local Knowledge: General familiarity with HRM geography is a major plus.
