Required Qualifications:
Graduate of a recognized health profession program with a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Current registration with the applicable professional regulatory college. Minimum two (2) years of acute care experience; renal specialty experience is preferred. Minimum three (3) years of leadership or supervisory experience, preferably within a complex healthcare environment. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coach and develop staff, and support change initiatives. Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills. Commitment to patient- and family-centered care and service excellence. Proven ability to manage human, financial, and physical resources. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Previous formal leadership experience in healthcare. Experience in nephrology, transplant, or critical care settings. Experience working in a unionized environment. Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Proven track record of achieving organizational goals and leading change. Ongoing commitment to professional and leadership development. Master's degree is an asset. Previous experience providing leadership in acute medical based care preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred clinical leadership experience with in-patient care. Master's level degree is desired. Quality improvement methodology and/or project management experience. Knowledge of the care of Nephrology based diseases and different treatment modalities for kidney disease. Understanding of financial systems and operational budgets, staff scheduling and timekeeping. Experience with e-people, RMS.
