We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read blueprints and work with various materials. This position requires a commitment to safety and quality, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques and equipment to fabricate metal components.
- Interpret and read blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Operate press brake machines and other machinery for metal shaping and forming.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, grinding, and assembly.
- Rig materials safely for lifting and transportation within the work area.
- Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
Requirements
- Proficient in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, or Stick welding.
- Experience with fabricating metal components from raw materials.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts for material handling.
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
- Valid drivers license - field work may be required.
- Mechanical knowledge an asset.
