Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Before and After School Program Staff with a minimum Level 2 to support educational initiatives and foster a positive learning environment for children. This role involves working directly with students in various learning settings, helping to implement engaging educational activities, and providing mentorship. Ideal candidates are passionate about early childhood education and enjoy working with children to promote their academic and social development.
Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering educational programs and activities tailored to various age groups
- Supporting the well-being of children with challenging behaviours (ADHD, Autism Spectrum, ODD, etc.)
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all children
- Help organize and facilitate group activities, games, and learning exercises
- Monitor student behavior and ensure adherence to safety guidelines
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents regarding student progress and needs
- Support the setup and cleanup of classroom materials and learning spaces
Skills
- Experience with school aged children, including early childhood education
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students and team members
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude toward fostering student growth
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Passionate for education and helping children succeed
- Strong leadership skills
- Self- starter
- Ability to pivot program planning
- Current driver's license with preference given to those with class 4
- Fluent in English
