Junk Removal Driver and General Labourer
$20–$25 per hour | London, Ontario | Immediate start available
Grab My Junk is hiring two dependable people to join our junk removal team. This is an active, hands-on position involving driving, lifting, customer service and working at different residential and commercial properties throughout London and the surrounding area.
No previous junk removal experience is required. Experience in moving, delivery, landscaping, construction, warehouse work or other physical jobs is an asset.
Requirements
- Valid full Ontario G driver’s licence
- Acceptable driving record and willingness to provide a driver’s abstract
- Reliable transportation to our starting location in London
- Comfortable driving a company truck
- Able to safely lift and carry furniture, appliances and other heavy items
- Comfortable working on stairs, outdoors and in dusty or dirty environments
- Dependable and punctual
- Friendly and professional when working inside customers’ homes and businesses
What you’ll do
- Remove furniture, appliances, household items, renovation debris and yard waste
- Complete residential, commercial, estate and eviction cleanouts
- Carry items safely through homes, apartments, stairways and job sites
- Protect walls, floors and customers’ property while moving items
- Load trucks safely and efficiently
- Sort items for donation, recycling and disposal
- Sweep and clean job areas before leaving
- Drive company vehicles and occasionally tow a trailer when qualified
- Keep trucks, tools and equipment clean and organized
- Communicate professionally with customers and crew members
