PCM Artificial Lift Solutions is looking for a motivated and mechanically inclined Shop Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our growing production team in Edmonton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to build a long-term career in manufacturing while gaining hands-on experience and developing technical skills from the ground up.
In this role, you will assist in the assembly, maintenance, and production of oilfield equipment, including wellhead drives and BOPs (Blowout Preventers), while working alongside experienced team members in a fast-paced shop environment.

About the Role
As a Shop Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will play an important role in supporting daily manufacturing and assembly operations. Working alongside experienced team members, you will gain practical experience with shop equipment, mechanical assembly, quality control, and production processes.
This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools, solving problems, and learning new skills.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform mechanical assembly and support daily shop operations
· Assist in the assembly, maintenance, and preparation of wellhead drives and BOP equipment
· Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
· Inspect components and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
· Assist with troubleshooting, repairs, and ongoing production support
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
· Follow all company safety policies and procedures
· Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to meet project deadlines
· Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve workflow and efficiency
· Learn and develop new technical skills as part of ongoing career growth within the company
Qualifications & Experience
- Mechanically inclined with an interest in manufacturing or industrial work
- Previous shop or industrial experience is considered an asset, but willing to train the right candidate
- Ability to work safely and follow established procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
- Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings is an asset
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
