The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000 plus a competitive bonus and incentive package. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, & discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. We’re looking for a Learning & Development Manager to help build the foundation of how we onboard, develop and grow talent, while modernizing how learning drives capability across our business.
This role goes beyond traditional training. You’ll partner with leaders to understand business needs, shape meaningful learning & development strategies, and build scalable programs that improve performance, from frontline teams to senior leaders. You’ll play a key role in shaping how Compass Group Canada builds capability to support business growth creating learning that is structured, relevant, and embedded in how the business operates.

- Build and scale core learning programs (onboarding, leadership development and employee experience) that create consistency across the organization
- Lead end-to-end design, build and facilitation of face-to-face and virtual programs across Compass Group Canada
- Own, create, and develop learning programs for all levels; from frontline associates to senior leaders
- Partner with People & Culture and business leaders to diagnose capability gaps and translate them into practical learning solutions
- Design high-impact, blended programs that drive real behaviour change, not content delivery
- Evolve learning from one-time training to continuous, on-the-job development
- Strengthen the learning experience through modern tools, platforms, and scalable delivery models
- Drive adoption and measure impact, linking learning to performance, engagement, and business outcomes

- 8+ years of experience developing and facilitating learning programs in a corporate environment
- Strong instructional design and facilitation capability
- A consultative, business-first mindset with the ability to influence leaders
- Ability to simplify complex needs into practical, scalable solutions
- Degree or diploma; certification in Adult Education or Instructional Design is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience using digital learning tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline)
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems
- Additionally, it is nice to have:
- Fluency in English & French language
- CTP, CTDP, or CHRP designation
- Certificate in Instructional Design
- Knowledge of DISC methodology
- Experience with leadership development frameworks (e.g., Ken Blanchard)
