If this sounds like you, then SYNLawn Vancouver Island wants to hear from you. We are an established company here on the island in BC that continues to grow. We are currently taking applications for the Synthetic Grass Installer position.
As a synthetic grass installer you will be involved in all parts of the installation process. This includes but is not limited to loading and unloading of materials, base preparation and installation of turf. Experience within the synthetic industry is an asset but not essential as full training will be provided.
Duties
- Load and unload synthetic turf, aggregate, tools, and equipment at the shop and job sites
- Transport materials between staging areas and the installation zone on-site
- Assist with site/base preparation (excavation support, grading, leveling, compaction)
- Operate and maintain basic landscape equipment as required (plate tamper, sod cutter, power brooms)
- Install synthetic turf as part of a crew (positioning, fitting, and securing turf per instructions)
- Support the full installation workflow from prep through final clean-up and turnover
- Follow supervisor/lead installer instructions and installation standards closely
- Work collaboratively within a team to meet daily production and quality targets
- Perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs when needed
- Drive to and from job sites reliably; may assist with driving a truck and/or towing a trailer (if assigned/qualified)
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safety
- Keep job sites organized and safe (tool management, debris removal, end-of-day clean-up)
- Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and flexibility with scheduling and job site needs
Qualifications
- Ability to follow instructions
- Work within a team
- Be physically fit, able to lift 50lbs when necessary
- Quick learner and adaptable
- Comfortable using landscape equipment, including plate tamper, sod cutter and power brooms
- Valid class 5 license with clean drivers abstract
- Access to a vehicle to get to and from job sites
- Experience driving a truck/trailer
- Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions
