Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Assistant Field Service Manager to oversee and support the maintenance, repair, and operation of various heavy construction equipment. This role involves managing field service operations, coordinating with clients, and ensuring the efficient functioning ,service,maintenance of equipment such as scissor & boom lifts, telehandlers, forklifts, and all MEWP. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with heavy equipment, and excellent customer service skills to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and assist field technicians in diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment including scissor & boom lifts, telehandlers, forklifts, and all MEWP.
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize downtime for clients.
- Conduct inspections of heavy equipment to identify potential issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform or oversee repairs involving welding, electrical systems, mechanical components, and power tools.
- Manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies necessary for field service operations.
- Provide technical guidance on assembly, disassembly, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations during all field activities.
- Maintain detailed documentation of service reports, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Collaborate with dealership teams to ensure customer satisfaction through timely service delivery.
- Assist in training new technicians on heavy equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
Skills
- Proven experience with,scissor & boom lifts, telehandlers, forklifts, and all MEWP. .
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to JLG,Skyjack,Genie or similar heavy equipment brands.
- Hands-on experience with systems, electrical systems, schematics reading, and hydraulic, repair .
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment efficiently.
- Knowledge of MEWP equipment maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Familiarity with schematics interpretation for electrical or mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently in the field while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
Pay: $55,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
