Foremost has an immediate opening for a Yard Personnel Labourer/Forklift Operator reporting into our Paint Foreman at our facility located in Stettler, Alberta.
Key Responsibilities
Operate equipment in a safe manner, perform pre-operational inspections.
- Determine safe lifting capacities.
- Operates various equipment with related attachments.
- Load and unload materials into and out of paint shop and blast shop.
- Work with minimal direction to all written and verbal work instructions.
- Operate basic hand tools and job specific power tools related to paint pre activities.
- Care for and maintain all company owned equipment and facilities, including general housekeeping and continuous improvements activities.
- Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Performs other tasks related to his/her classification.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Forklift Safety Training certificate an asset.
- Experience with routine maintenance
- MUST be reliable, punctual, and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience as asset but willing to train the right applicant.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to give and take clear direction; verbal and written.
- Detailed oriented and willing to function as part of a highly motivated team.
- Self-motivated, with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and safety
- Safety Training an asset but will train as required.
- Must pass pre-employment physical demands and abilities assessment.
- This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odours, fumes, and oils.
