About the Position We are seeking a compassionate and reliable RN or RPN.
This is an awake overnight position requiring the RPN to remain alert, attentive, and actively available throughout the entire shift to provide continuous monitoring, assessment, and care for two pediatric clients with complex medical needs in a private home setting.
Responsibilities Provide overnight nursing care and monitoring for two complex-care pediatric clients.
Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate documentation. Perform G-tube feedings and monitor tolerance to feeds.
Assist with personal care and activities of daily living.
Implement exercise and mobility programs as recommended by therapists.
Monitor and report changes in health status or concerns to the family and appropriate healthcare providers.
Maintain nursing records and care notes. Follow established care plans, safety protocols, and infection prevention practices.
Perform other related duties as required to support the children's health and well-being.
Qualifications Required
Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Current Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check.
Current professional liability insurance through the RPNAO
Experience providing direct nursing care in a home care, community, pediatric, or complex-care setting.
Experience with G-tube feeding, medication administration, and enteral feeding equipment.
Experience monitoring and managing clients using CPAP therapy.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to work independently.
Eligible to work in Ontario.
Compensation - Pay rate: $46.78 per hour (inclusive of statutory holiday pay). - Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
