About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager – Operations, you will play an important role in coordinating the movement of materials and finished goods throughout our business.
Working closely with Production, Sales, Accounting, freight carriers, suppliers, and customs brokers, you will help ensure shipments are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time while maintaining compliance with Canadian and U.S. shipping regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Coordinating domestic and Canada–U.S. shipments.
- Scheduling LTL, FTL, courier, expedited, and customer pickup shipments.
- Preparing Bills of Lading, packing slips, commercial invoices, customs documentation, certificates of origin (where applicable), and shipping paperwork.
- Coordinating with freight carriers and customs brokers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitoring shipment status and proactively resolving transportation issues.
- Monitoring cross-border shipping requirements, customs regulations, tariffs, and brokerage documentation.
- Coordinating customer pickups with warehouse personnel.
- Assisting with receiving activities and inventory transactions as required.
- Maintaining accurate shipping, freight, customs, and logistics records.
- Investigating freight discrepancies, shortages, damages, and transportation claims.
- Identifying opportunities to improve freight efficiency, shipping processes, and transportation costs.
- Supporting ISO 9001 documentation and logistics procedures.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum two years of experience in logistics, shipping, receiving, transportation, or supply chain coordination.
- Experience coordinating Canada–United States shipments.
- Working knowledge of customs documentation, freight procedures, tariffs, and international shipping requirements.
- Experience working with customs brokers and freight carriers.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience with ERP/MRP software (Sage 50/MRPEasy or similar) is considered an asset.
Preferred Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
- Manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Plastics manufacturing.
- Inventory control and shipping documentation.
- Freight cost management.
- Cross-border logistics and customs compliance.
- ISO 9001 quality systems.
Professional certifications such as SCMP, CSCP, CLTD, CIFFA, or CSCB are considered assets but are not required.

Position Type: Part-Time Temporary

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Approximately 24–32 hours per week
- Additional hours may be available during busy periods
Compensation:
- $22.00–$28.00 per hour
- Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience.
