Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/woman Plumber to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. As a vital part of our construction and maintenance operations, the Journeyman/woman Plumber will ensure all work meets safety standards and quality expectations.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine project requirements
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete installations and repairs efficiently
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during construction or maintenance tasks
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues with plumbing or HVAC systems
- Assist with construction activities such as carpentry or assembly related to plumbing installations
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman/woman plumber license or certification required
- Proven experience with plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance in construction or service settings
- Strong mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems, schematics, and blueprint reading skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Experience with oil burners is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical drawings effectively
Pay: $50.00-$70.00 per hour
