Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. We are a private practice and looking for an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will provide support and advocacy for individuals with diverse needs. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by offering guidance, resources, and emotional support within a professional and caring environment. The position is a paid percentage of what you make and requires a commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and client-centered care. Social workers will have the opportunity to advertise on their own, as well receive referrals through the company. Social workers will have the opportunity to work at the office and have access to wifi, a waiting room, printer and office supplies. Social workers can also work from home for phone or virtual clients. This is a perfect opportunity for social workers who want extra work outside of their regular jobs or someone who is looking to slowly build up their clientele.
Responsibilities
- Assess clients' needs through sessions and evaluations to develop personalized care plans
- Provide counseling and emotional support to individuals
- Coordinate with community resources, healthcare providers, and educational institutions to facilitate access to services
- Advocate for clients’ rights and assist them in navigating complex systems such as healthcare, education, or social services
- Monitor progress of clients’ goals and adjust intervention strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, assessments, and service plans in compliance with organizational policies
- Educate families and caregivers on available resources and support strategies
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing training sessions to enhance service delivery
Skills
- Must be registered with the Ontario College
- Must have Masters of Social Work Degree
- Must have insurance coverage
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse populations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively
- Knowledge of community resources, social service systems, and relevant laws or regulations related to social work

Pay: $50.00-$72.00 per hour
