Responsible for the overall upkeep and maintenance relating to the interior and exterior of the hotel and equipment found there within
Major Responsibilities
Respond and complete all maintenance requests
Check water and chemical levels to ensure proper operation of pool and spa
Walk through of hotel looking for maintenance and health and safety related issues
Service and maintain all business equipment, operational equipment, HVAC, shuttle van etc.
Daily preventative maintenance of pre-selected guest rooms, meeting rooms and public areas
Special projects and or renovations as required i.e. Painting of pool, parking lot, etc.
Schedule and liaise with contractors/trades where outside assistance is required i.e. elevators, landscapers, electricians
Spearhead Health and Safety committee, schedule monthly meetings and act on any opportunities for improvement
Purchasing as it relates to maintenance equipment, tools and resources
Train all associates on fire safety
Train all associates on basic trouble shooting of common challenges
AM/PM and weekend MOD as scheduled
Schedule annual testing i.e. generator, fire safety, sprinklers
Guest Service
Supports hotel's standards and contributes to the delivery of consistent guest service.
Solicits guest feedback and alerts Department Head to all opportunities for improvement.
Assist our guest’s with information about services and amenities that our hotel offers.
Demonstrate commitment to understand, anticipate and fulfill the needs of our guests.
Life Safety/Loss Prevention
Demonstrates understanding of the procedures of the Hotel's Emergency Response Plan and ensures all associates are trained accordingly
Implements, observes and ensures compliance the hotel's key control procedures.
Follow the health and safety guidelines and ensure Associates are compliant and working in a safe manner.
Responsible to communicate any safety issues in the hotel, such as: broken glasses, wet floor, any maintenance issue that can create a injury.
Communications
and quality service through daily communication and coordination with co-workers and Department Heads.
Act and communicate with professionalism while dealing with guests and coworkers.
Pay: $21.90-$22.40 per hour
