Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
Our Clients Information Services (IS) team is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Analyst, IT Financial Management, reporting to the Manager, IT Financial Management, to support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, governance, and cost optimization activities across the IS portfolio.
The Analyst, IT Financial Management in this role will be responsible for supporing the planning, forecasting, reporting, governance, and optimization of Information Services operating expenditures and technology-related investments. Reporting to the Senior Analyst, IT Financial Management, this role provides analytical, financial, and decision-support services to help manage enterprise technology spend across multiple disciplines.
The position contributes to financial governance processes, performance reporting, forecasting activities, cost analysis, and executive decision-support materials that enable effective management of Information Services financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis & Business Support

Support the Manager, IT Financial Management, in preparing financial analysis, reporting, forecasts, budgets, and decision-support materials for Information Services.

Analyze financial results, trends, variances, risks, and opportunities, and provide clear insights to support business decisions.

Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and summaries for IS leaders and stakeholders.

Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, tools, reporting templates, and governance practices.

OM&A Financial Management

Support annual business planning, budgeting, monthly forecasting, and official forecast processes for IS operating expenditures.

Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, including variance analysis and explanation of key drivers.

Assist with maintaining financial transparency across Information Services through accurate data, reporting, and stakeholder support.

Identify potential cost optimization opportunities and support analysis required to evaluate recommendations.

Third Party Financial Management

Support financial governance activities related to external service providers and technology vendors.

Track contractual commitments, spend performance, accruals, invoices, purchase orders, renewals, and vendor-related financial obligations.

Assist with sourcing activities, renewal analysis, business cases, and financial evaluations as directed by the Manager.

Support adherence to procurement, contract, and financial governance requirements through accurate data and analysis.

Governance, Reporting & Controls

Prepare and maintain recurring financial reports, dashboards, key performance indicators, and supporting analysis.

Support compliance with corporate financial policies, internal controls, procurement requirements, and governance standards.

Provide timely, accurate, and well-supported analysis to help the Manager and IS leadership make informed financial decisions.
Qualifications

3 to 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, accounting, financial planning and analysis, IT financial management, telecommunications financial management, cloud financial management, procurement support, or related disciplines.

Experience supporting budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, reporting, and business financial reviews.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder support skills.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with enterprise financial systems, reporting tools, or data visualization tools.

Experience with SAP and enterprise financial systems. (preferred)
- Education and Certifications

University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or related discipline

CPA designation, CPA enrollment, or progress toward a finance/accounting designation considered an asset.

FinOps certification or exposure to cloud cost management practices considered an asset.
