We are seeking a skilled Mig Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and MIG welding.
Responsibilities:
· Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements);
· Removes rough spots from workpiece, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper;
· Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces;
· Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead);
· Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures ensuing quality standards are met;
· Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards;
Qualifications:
· CWB certification is preferred,
· 2 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment;
· Experience with steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel required;
· Experience with MIG welding highly preferred with performing multiple overlays
· Knowledge of Welding symbols
· Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges;
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
