Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Server to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. As a Server, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly demeanor.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, preferably Micros POS.
- Provide menu recommendations and upsell items to enhance the guest experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining proper food handling procedures.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math for processing payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions from guests.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction with their dining experience.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a strong background in food service and hospitality.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create positive guest interactions.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
