Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Manual Lathe Operator to join our team in an active role. This position involves producing precision machined parts while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in a team-oriented environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual lathes to machine parts withing tight tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Select proper tooling, speeds, and feeds
- Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, organized workspace
- Follow all workplace safety procedures
- Able to work independently and with team members to meet production timelines
Skills require:
- 2+ years of experience operating manual lathe machines with capacity of 10 ft between centers.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Experience with milling machines or CNC equipment would be asset
