Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online), Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace, with excellent organizational and communication skills. This position involves managing financial transactions, supporting daily office operations, and providing exceptional customer service in a professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and perform bookkeeping duties
- Manage data entry tasks related to accounts payable, receivable, and payroll
- Handle front desk responsibilities including greeting visitors and answering multi-line phone systems
- Provide administrative support such as filing, photocopying, and organizing documents
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person with professional phone etiquette
- Perform general clerical tasks to ensure smooth office operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of public accounting experience (mandatory)
- College diploma or university degree with a concentration in Accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and basic bookkeeping skills
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Previous clerical or administrative experience preferred, especially in medical or dental offices
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, including professional phone etiquette and customer support experience
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and front desk procedures is desirable
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative or bookkeeping certifications are a plus
