Job Description
· Blundon’s Trucking and Excavating Ltd. is seeking a Janitor.
· This will be at the Valentine Gold Mine.
· Rotational shift (14x14) with camp accommodations provided
Qualifications & Abilities
· Completion of High School diploma or equivalent is a requirement
· Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
· Current Drivers abstract and Criminal record required
· Must pass Medical and Drug/Alcohol Test.
· Willingness to adhere to both workplace & site-specific procedures and policies
· Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is considered an asset but not required
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Reliable, punctual, and dependable
· Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
Duties and Responsibilities
· Clean and sanitize washrooms, offices, lunchrooms, hallways, and common areas
· Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and wash floors and surfaces
· Empty garbage and recycling bins
· Restock cleaning supplies and washroom products as needed
· Perform routine cleaning and maintenance duties
· Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management
· Ensure cleanliness standards are maintained at all times
· Must be well versed in construction site protocols, rules and code of conduct
· Comply with all safety policies and procedures
· Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors
