About the Role
Are you an experienced machine operator or extrusion tech looking for your next challenge? We’re seeking a reliable PET Extrusion Operator to join our client’s manufacturing team. If you excel in fast-paced environments and care about safety and quality, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Do
- Safely operate, start, run, and shut down the PET extrusion line
- Set up machinery, load raw materials, and monitor product quality
- Record production data, adjust machine settings, and ensure high quality with low scrap
- Unload, store, and organize finished products
- Visually inspect parts, report concerns, and assist with troubleshooting
- Support the supervisor and help train other team members
- Maintain a clean work area and follow 5S & EHS guidelines
- Suggest improvements (Kaizen) to help the team succeed
Who You Are
- 2+ years’ experience in a 24/7 industrial or manufacturing setting (extrusion/plastics experience a plus)
- Comfortable with physical work (lift up to 40 lbs) and standing for extended periods
- Able to read and follow instructions in English
- Tech-savvy, organized, and a good communicator
- Can work independently on day / night shifts
- Mechanically minded, with a technical background in plastics or manufacturing preferred
- Basic math skills and ability to record and communicate production numbers
- Safety-conscious and team-oriented
