Western Medical Canada specializes in Construction in Healthcare Facilities across Canada. We are currently looking for Red Seal Carpenters.
- Experiencing of Installing wood and steel doors and frames
- Steel stud and drywall (drywall taping an added bonus)
- Installation of suspended ceiling grids and tiles
- Installation of cabinets and shelves as required
- Adding fittings and fixtures including door handles, hinges, locks, and closures
- Selecting materials as per the requirements of the project
- Liaising with Superintendent and client
- Consulting other construction professionals to ensure the best possible results and the final product
- Reading blueprints and designs prepared by other architects, construction professionals, and ensuring they meet building code recommendations and requirements.
- A recognized apprenticeship in carpentry, red seal or similar time served development.
- Multi tasking ability
- Calm and forward attitude
- Willingness to travel.
- Excellent forward thinking and desire to grow in the company
- Ability to use hand and power tools, including drills, saws,, chisels, and sanders
- Comprehensive knowledge of building regulations and codes
- Willingness to learn CSA Z317:12.20 Construction in Healthcare facilities standards.
- Must reside in Canada
