Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our construction and renovation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of carpentry, including blueprint reading, concrete forming, restoration, cabinet installation, and working with both hand and power tools. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial buildings, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Carpenter will collaborate with project managers, architects, and other trades to deliver exceptional results on time and within scope.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute projects.
- Construct, install, repair, and restore structures such as walls, floors, ceilings, cabinets, siding, roofing, and masonry elements.
- Perform concrete forming and rebar installation for foundation work.
- Install flooring (including tile laying), siding, windows, doors, and other building components.
- Operate hand tools (saws, hammers, chisels) and power tools safely and efficiently
- Apply construction estimating skills to assess project needs and materials.
- Perform construction painting, caulking, plumbing rough-ins, electrical wiring (as qualified), and handyman repairs as needed.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on-site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met with quality workmanship.
Experience
- Proven experience in carpentry or related construction fields such as woodworking or masonry.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating software is preferred.
- Experience with concrete forming, restoration projects, cabinet installation, roofing, siding installation, flooring installation (including tile), rebar installation, and drywall is highly desirable.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools required for various carpentry tasks.
- Knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems is a plus but not mandatory; relevant handyman experience is beneficial.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Prior experience working in manufacturing or heavy construction environments is advantageous. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to quality craftsmanship and safety standards across all phases of construction projects.
Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour
