Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President, Operations – Dealers, the Director, Conversions and Strategic Initiatives is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing dealer conversions, improvement projects, and strategic initiatives supporting affiliate dealers across Quebec.
Acting as a key partner to both the Affiliate Dealer and Operations teams, this individual ensures successful project delivery by engaging stakeholders, optimizing processes, and driving execution against established objectives. The incumbent supervises one direct report and works closely with their counterpart responsible for the rest of Canada to ensure knowledge sharing and consistent execution of national initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all activities related to dealer conversions in Quebec.
Plan and execute projects aimed at improving dealer operations and overall business performance.
Oversee the implementation and adoption of corporate initiatives, including Valu+, OffShelf, and future programs.
Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and follow-up activities, including buy-back programs.
Partner closely with Dealers Operations, Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, and IT teams to ensure effective execution of initiatives.
Lead, coach, and develop one direct report.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities and recommend solutions that enhance project outcomes and operational effectiveness.
Maintain a strong field presence to support teams and affiliate dealers during conversions and project deployments.
Qualifications
University degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Retail Management, or a related field.
Significant experience in project management, operations, or retail environments.
Previous people leadership experience.
Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and influencing skills.
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Bilingualism (English and French).
Position Requirements
Responsible for dealer conversion projects and strategic initiatives impacting dealers in Quebec.
Frequent travel throughout Quebec.
Occasional travel outside the province to support national initiatives and projects.
Strong on-site presence required to support operational teams and affiliate dealers during project execution.
