Video Editor — YouTube & Short-Form Content (Freelance)
Remote | Freelance / Contract | $40–$60/hr CAD (per-video rates open to discussion)
About Us
Diana Conforti is a fitness creator who has built a strong community online for (primarily) women on their fitness journey. Our YouTube channel is a core part of how we show up for our community, and we're looking for a skilled freelance video editor to help us produce consistent, polished long-form content alongside short-form cuts that drive views and engagement.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced freelance video editor to edit 2–3 videos per month on an ongoing basis. Our videos run 12–25 minutes and cover fitness, wellness, and lifestyle topics aimed at women 18–35. You'll work from raw footage and supplied assets to deliver a finished product that feels on-brand, clean, and engaging.
What You'll Deliver Per Video
- One edited long-form YouTube video (generally 12–25 min)
- One short-form cut from the long-form video (Reels / Shorts style) to drive traffic to the full video
- Basic graphics — we will supply branded assets; additional design sense is welcome
- Minor colour grading — clean and consistent, not cinematic
- Motion graphics are a bonus but not required
- Thumbnails are a bonus but not required
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience editing YouTube content, ideally in the fitness, wellness, or lifestyle space
- Strong understanding of both long-form YouTube pacing and short-form content (Reels, Shorts)
- General understanding of the fitness industry. Able to keep up with trends and current events happening in the space.
- Comfortable working with supplied brand templates and style references
- Fluent English — written and spoken
- Preferred software: DaVinci Resolve but it is not a deal breaker, use what you work best in
- Open to candidates anywhere in the Americas
What to Expect Working With Us
- We have existing templates and a clear visual style
- We'll provide examples of creators whose editing style we admire as reference
- We're open to creative input from editors who bring relevant experience and ideas
- We aim to build a long-term working relationship with the right person
How to Apply
Send us the following:
- A link to your portfolio or examples of YouTube videos you've edited
- At least one example of short-form content you've cut from long-form footage
- A brief note about your experience and editing style
- Your preferred rate structure (hourly or per-video)
Send everything to [email protected]. We look forward to seeing your work.
