Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards and individual student needs.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social interaction.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and team members.
- Support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or working with individuals with disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and behavioral observations.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities, share best practices, and ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of the classroom environment at all times.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices.
Skills
- Proficiency in English; bilingual skills such as French are a plus.
- Strong background in childcare, early childhood education, and teaching methodologies.
- Experience working with children of various ages, including those with special needs or disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Competent in computer operation and using educational software or tools for documentation and planning.
- Classroom experience demonstrating effective classroom management and organizational skills.
- Strong time management abilities to balance lesson planning, activities, and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Leadership qualities to guide children’s development while fostering independence and confidence.
- Writing skills for documenting progress reports and communicating with families professionally.
