Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and mechanical systems. This role involves diagnosing issues, repairing vehicles and equipment, and ensuring optimal performance. Candidates with dealership experience and a solid understanding of schematics will excel in this position. The mechanic will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and reliability of our fleet and equipment, providing excellent customer service and technical expertise.
Duties
- Perform diagnostic assessments using mechanical knowledge and schematics to identify issues with vehicles and equipment
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on automobiles, machinery, and related systems using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Assemble, disassemble, and replace parts as needed, ensuring proper fit and function
- Utilize welding skills for metal repairs or fabrication projects
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and the use of power tools to prevent accidents
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and service performed
- Assist with routine inspections to prevent future breakdowns or issues
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients or team members
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair and maintenance processes
- Dealership experience is highly desirable for advanced diagnostic skills
- Proficiency with schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical systems
- Skilled in welding, assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems, engines, transmissions, brakes, etc.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills for effective communication with clients or team members
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
