Skyview General Contracting Ltd., a medium sized civil construction company, is looking for AZ/DZ dump truck drivers with 10 years’ experience in aggregate and excavation waste. The ideal candidate will be capable of working with minimal supervision and be willing to work together with other crew members to resolve issues safely and efficiently. Additionally, he or she should be familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures to ensure team members safety.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience– dump truck experience preferred.
- Valid AZ/DZ driver’s license.
- Clean abstract and CVOR to be provided.
- Good safety and driving record.
- High school or equivalent
- Strong English communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Comply with legislation related to safe vehicle operation, cargo securement, hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, and weights and dimensions.
- Perform mandatory circle checks on trucks before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Perform inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure
- Read, countersign and enter comments into daily operator logbook
- Complete and document a pre-operational check on assigned equipment
- Ensure all equipment has proper safety equipment in place
- Any required repairs to assigned equipment are to be communicated to maintenance personnel
Job Type: Full-time – 7am to 5pm - Monday to Saturday
