We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/woman Automotive Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves performing comprehensive automotive repairs and maintenance to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, excellent mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Prior dealership experience is highly valued, along with proficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, and schematics. Duties
- Conduct diagnostic assessments using schematics and specialized tools to identify vehicle issues
- Perform repairs including engine work, brake systems, suspension, and electrical components
- Utilize welding and assembly skills for custom repairs or modifications as needed
- Maintain and repair mechanical systems, ensuring all work meets safety standards
- Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment efficiently for various repair tasks
- Lift heavy components safely during repairs or replacements
- Follow manufacturer specifications and schematics to ensure accurate repairs
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
- Complete detailed documentation of work performed for each vehicle
Skills
- Proven dealership or mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive systems
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with automotive repair techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during repair procedures
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients
- Experience with maintenance tasks and assembly of vehicle components
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting methods
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues and executing repairs

Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour

Experience:
- Auto Journey Person: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- New Brunswick MVI Tester license (required)
- Clean criminal background and driving abstract (required)
- Canadian PR, NOT a work permit (required)
