Overview
We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Gas Station Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent service to customers, managing fuel and convenience store operations, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a positive attitude. Bilingual skills are a plus to assist a diverse customer base. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling vehicles efficiently
- Operate POS systems for cash handling and transactions accurately
- Manage merchandise displays and perform merchandising duties to promote products
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of the store, fuel area, and surrounding premises
- Handle cash register operations including cashiering and basic math calculations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including phone etiquette when communicating with customers or team members
- Assist in inventory management and restocking shelves as needed
- Support the team with general store duties to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a broader customer base
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash handling responsibilities confidently
- Time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Professional phone etiquette when interacting over the phone or with customers in person
- Demonstrated sales aptitude with experience in upselling or product demos is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if needed
