Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Generator Service Technician to join our outstanding team.
Position Summary
As a Generator Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair services for Generac home standby generators.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on Generac standby generators.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair generator systems.
- Complete service reports accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service while working at residential and commercial properties.
- Maintain company service vehicle, tools, and equipment.
- Attend Generac technical training and certification courses (travel may occasionally be required).
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and manage daily service schedules.
- Mechanical experience with generators, small engines, diesel or gas engines, or related equipment (considered a strong asset).
- Experience in electrical service or electrical troubleshooting (an asset).
- A secondary school diploma or equivalent.
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence with a clean driving record. Include a Driver's Abstract/Record.
- Ability to obtain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
- Ability to work safely and professionally in customers' homes and businesses.
