Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated 310T Licensed Technician to join our Mississauga Service Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty trucks and related equipment in accordance with Ministry standards and company policies. This role requires strong technical ability, a commitment to safety, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul of:
- Fuel injection, exhaust, cooling, and lubrication systems
- Air conditioning and engine control systems
- Major internal engine repairs and overhauls
- Drive trains, transmissions, suspensions, steering, and brake systems
- Electrical and diagnostic systems
- Conduct safety and annual inspections in compliance with Ministry of Transportation standards and company procedures.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and thoroughly, including work orders, inspection reports, and certificates.
- Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and Supervisors regarding repair timelines, additional work authorization, and customer updates.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs, including WHMIS certification and manufacturer training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician License (mandatory).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed technician or equivalent apprenticeship experience.
- Valid G-class driver’s license; experience with manual and automatic transmissions.
- Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Physically capable of performing demanding tasks, including lifting up to 70 lbs (and maneuvering packages up to 150 lbs with equipment).
- Possession of a complete set of hand tools, including metric sizes.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous learning.
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions (indoor/outdoor as required).
