Location: Vancouver, BC (serving clients throughout Metro Vancouver)
Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Permanent, Flexible Schedule
Compensation: $40–$50/hour (commensurate with experience, credentials, and demonstrated capability)
The role: This is a hands-on technical position inside a growing premier handyman and repair company. As Lead Technician, you are the person our clients see, trust, and rely on. You’ll carry a full workload across multi-trade repair, maintenance, and light renovation projects — working independently on complex jobs while maintaining the quality, communication, and professionalism that define the elevated experience.
You’ll work across residential, strata, and commercial properties throughout Metro Vancouver — from Kitsilano and Kerrisdale to Yaletown, the West End, and beyond.
This is a role for someone who takes pride in the craft, communicates clearly with clients, and treats every property as if it were their own.
What You’ll Do
- Execute repair, maintenance, and light renovation projects across multiple trades — drywall, door repair, & installation, minor carpentry, bathroom refresh, tile installation/regrout/caulking, flooring repairs & installation, kitchen repairs, deck & fence restoration, and general property upkeep
- Manage your daily schedule, arriving on time at every job site with the correct tools and materials
- Communicate directly with clients on scope, timelines, and progress — representing the brand at every interaction
- Complete accurate, detailed work orders for every job, including time tracking, materials used, scope notes, and before/after photo documentation
- Identify additional repair or maintenance needs during site visits and communicate them to management clearly and professionally
- Coordinate with management on scheduling, scope changes, and any job-site issues that arise
- Deliver a consistently clean, damage-free workspace — full post-job cleanup is non-negotiable
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience across multiple trades (residential and/or commercial)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage your own time effectively, and solve problems on-site without constant supervision
- Strong communication skills — comfortable speaking directly with homeowners, property managers, and strata councils in a professional and courteous manner
- Valid BC driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Physically capable of sustained manual work including lifting, climbing, kneeling, and working in confined spaces
- Comfort with digital tools — work order apps, time tracking, photo documentation, and text-based communication with management
- A genuine pride in craftsmanship — you care about the quality of every finished job, not just getting it done
Preferred:
- Red Seal or trade certification in any relevant discipline (carpentry, plumbing, electrical)
- Experience working in a client-facing service role where your professionalism directly impacted the customer experience
- Familiarity with strata and property management environments
- Experience with larger-scope projects that require multi-day planning, coordination, and phased execution
- First Aid certification
What Sets This Apart
This is not a position where you’ll be dispatched to install a doorbell and move on to the next ticket. We handle substantive repair and maintenance work — projects that require genuine skill, careful planning, and a tradesperson who understands how to deliver quality results across disciplines.
What that means for you:
- You’ll work on meaningful, varied projects — not repetitive task-queue work
- You’ll be trusted to manage your time, make decisions on-site, and represent a brand that clients value
- You’ll be compensated at a premium rate that reflects the calibre of work and professionalism we require
- You’ll work for a company that invests in systems, processes, and standards — not one that runs on chaos
- You’ll never be asked to cut corners. Quality is the product.
What we expect in return:
- Consistent, verifiable quality on every job
- Accurate, honest time tracking and documentation
- Professional client-facing conduct at all times
- Reliability — on time, every time, with no exceptions
- A willingness to be held to a higher standard than what most companies require
Compensation & Structure
- Hourly rate: $40–$45/hour, based on experience and credentials
- Schedule: Full-time, Part-time permanent positions available, Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturday availability may be requested for larger projects
- Tools & equipment: Candidates with their own professional toolkit are preferred
- Growth: As we scale, this role carries real potential for advancement into supervisory and team-lead responsibilities
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
