Reporting to the Electrical Project Manager, the Intermediate Electrical Designer will design and implement innovative, safe, and efficient electrical systems that meet client needs, regulatory standards, and project specifications, including power distribution, fire alarms, and lighting. You will apply your excellent and advanced AutoCAD & REVIT skills to develop detailed designs, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure all systems are optimized for functionality, energy efficiency, and safety. You will deliver high-quality solutions that contribute to reliable and sustainable building infrastructures through collaboration, precision, and a commitment to excellence.
Compensation & Benefits:
Upon joining the team, you will receive;
- $70,000-$75,000 per annum, based on experience;

- Full-time salaried position, in-office, with travel to sites
- Core hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (42 hours/week)
What you’ll be doing:Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed and precise designs for power distribution, fire alarm systems, and lighting that meet project requirements and are in accordance with OBC, OESC, ASHRAE, IES and/or other relevant Codes and Standards.
- Integrate energy-efficient and sustainable practices into all designs, optimizing system performance and reducing environmental impact where possible.
- Coordinate work with other disciplines, including Mechanical, Architectural, Structural and Interior Design.
- Creates working drawings with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Layout lighting, fire alarm, power and electrical systems
- Monitor CAD production.
- Performs site audits to confirm existing conditions.
- Prepares CCNs and SIs as required.
- Prepares detailed equipment room layouts, including sections.
- Accurately prepares detailed riser diagrams.
- Size distribution, feeders, conduit, wire, etc.
- Review quotations and progress draws
- Perform site reviews, including finals during construction, and prepare site visit reports
- Participate in project coordination meetings and provide technical input to solve design challenges efficiently.
- Function as primary point of contact for landlords, tenants, designers, and contractors.
- Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of design changes, activities, updates, or modifications in a timely manner.
- Report to the Manager, Tenant Services any project-related quality, speed or scheduling issue.
- Complete all design tasks, technical drawings, and documentation within established project timelines and milestones.
- Check all drawings for quality control using a checklist.
- Maintain design files in an organized and up-to-date fashion in accordance with company Project Management Standards.
- Review and comment on shop drawing submittals and junior designer submissions.
- Participate in all required training and provide training and motivation to other staff.
- Foster strong client relationships by understanding their needs, providing innovative solutions, and addressing concerns throughout the design process.

Experience & Qualifications::
- Electrical Engineering Degree or Engineering Technologies Certificate
- At least 4-7 years of experience in the Engineering Consulting industry
- Excellent and Advanced AutoCAD & REVIT skills
- Experience with reading and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, Structural and Architectural drawings
- Experience with Windows and general computer skills
- Familiar with OBC, OESC, NFPA, ASHRAE and other relevant Codes and Standards
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Strong command of English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior problem-solving and analytical skills
- Valid Driver’s License and the ability/willingness to travel.
- Ability to think independently
