Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert nutritional guidance, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with medical staff to promote optimal patient health outcomes. This role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and patient care protocols. Experience in hospital settings, pediatrics, and acute care is highly valued. Fluency in multiple languages, including French and bilingual capabilities, is a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations. The Registered Dietitian will utilize various software tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Word processing applications to document and manage patient information efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' nutritional needs through detailed case management and analysis skills.
- Develop personalized nutrition plans tailored to individual health conditions, including pediatrics and acute care cases.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate dietary strategies into overall patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition, dietary modifications, and lifestyle changes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition plans accordingly while ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Manage multiple cases efficiently by applying excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Assist in training staff on nutritional protocols and provide guidance on medical nutrition therapy.
- Stay current with the latest developments in dietetics, nursing practices, and healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or equivalent credential.
- Proven experience in hospital environments, with familiarity in acute care settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, case management, and patient care procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and word processing tools.
- Multilingual abilities are highly desirable; fluency in French or bilingual skills are advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is a plus.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
