Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swim Instructor to join our aquatic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming skills to individuals of all ages and skill levels in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to promote water safety, develop teaching skills, and inspire confidence in our students.
Duties
- Conduct swimming lessons for children, teens, and adults, tailoring instruction to individual skill levels and learning styles
- Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and safety procedures
- Monitor students during lessons to ensure safety and provide immediate assistance if needed
- Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere to motivate learners of all ages
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area before and after lessons
- Enforce pool rules and safety guidelines at all times
- Communicate progress and provide feedback to students and their guardians when appropriate
- Assist with scheduling classes and managing lesson plans as needed
Experience
- Prior experience teaching swimming or related water safety instruction is required
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to demonstrate techniques confidently
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, patient demeanor
- Ability to work with diverse age groups and skill levels
- Knowledge of water safety standards and emergency procedures is a plus
